Anyone else hide a copy of Color Out of Space face down underneath a copy of It's a Wonderful Life to avoid judgment at the till tonight? No? Just me? Cool cool!
Writing can be hard for many reasons. Probably the first 26 reasons on my list are Muffin.
Last October, when we realized that Halloween would be on a Saturday this year, we decided a party must be had. Throughout the year, we pinned food ideas, bought decor and accessories, and planned the ideal spot for the 9 ft inflatable killer shark. I think we all know what happened to those plans. Were we disappointed? Yes. Did that let us stop us from having a blast? HELL NO! Four of us ate food and drank punch (puff pastry mummy baked brie idea came from delish.com). We tested our movie knowledge in a hilarious round of the Blockbuster party game (highly recommended, FYI!). We topped it off with a few movies at home, and @salinejeannie and I finished the night off with a mask wearing, socially distanced, late night showing of Evil Dead The Musical at the Kelowna Actor's Studio (boomstick, baby!). The crowd was small due to distancing rules, but passionate, fun, and so happy to be there. The songs will be stuck in my head for 80 years, I'm sure 😂 Definitely different than what I'd planned, but well spent with people I love. Happy Halloween to you and yours!!! 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤
